Heading for a lockdown break-out? Then this song is one for the soundtrack! 'Harpurhey Hostility' is an explosive mix of garage punk and raging northern discontent.

Not quite like anything else but reminds you of such past iconic delights such as The B52s, The Ramones & the more recent sounds of Oh Sees and Amyl and The Sniffers, etc.

An uneasy and uncompromising visceral portrait of a small town in North Manchester whose strong will and attitude can often spill over into the extreme and unruly. Tragedy and comedy are at the core of The C33s and 'Harpurhey Hostility' represents this duality in both sound and statement.

Drummer Judy Jones takes lead vocals on this one and snarls her way through 3 minutes of slick guitar, bass runs, and tribal drums that have become now recognizable to The C33s' sound.

Recorded at Magic Garden Studios, Wolverhampton under the spiritual umbrella of Gavin Monaghan and Joseph Murray.

It was a rather quick affair. At the time I had no idea what would happen 3 years later. I usually don’t analyse my lyrics. They just come to me. It seems like a good time to show this to the world as it is now."

"8-CIRCUIT NEURORGASMIC TRIGGER" IS THE DEBUT FULL-LENGTH UNDER THE SURNAME OF MULTI-DISCIPLINARY L.A. ARTIST (CHAD) FJERSTAD. THE ELECTRONICA LP IS A FULLY DIGITAL EXCURSION PRIMARILY INSPIRED BY SOME OF THE FINEST STALWARTS OF THE UK 90'S (LFO, ORBITAL, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, ETC), WHILE ALSO PULLING INFLUENCE FROM A FULL TIMELINE OF TECHNO, ELECTRO, AND JAPANESE SYNTH MUSIC SUCH AS YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA AND 16-BIT VIDEO GAME SOUNDTRACKS.

FJERSTAD HAS BEEN MOSTLY RECOGNIZED AS THE BASSIST FOR HEAVY GUITAR-DRIVEN BANDS SUCH AS DEAD TO FALL AND THE PRIMALS BUT AIMS TO PRODUCE A CONTINUOUS STREAM OF SYNTH-BASED OUTPUT AS LONG AS LIFE ALLOWS HIM. HE RUNS HIS OWN IMPRINT, EPHEMEROL NIGHT TERRORS, WHICH HE RELEASES A GREAT QUANTITY OF HIS MUSICAL WORKS THROUGH, AS WELL AS HIS BOOKS, WHICH HE HAS PUBLISHED THREE OF TO THIS DAY (12-20-2018).

[PREMIERE] Deadpan // Fool Moon

Soon after the break with Deadpan Interference back in 2016, Martin Funder, Max Cosnier and Sofie Westh already knew that they weren't done with developing their music. During the years 2017-18 new sounds grew out from their collaboration and is now ready to be shown to the world.

It's near impossible to put a specific genre on the band's characteristic sound, but the heavy, experimental approach to songwriting and rhythm - mixed with a great love of explosive pop-music - isn't to be mistaken. Deadpan can sound like the love child of the 70/80s experimental postpunk band Chrome and 00s dancepunk heroes LCD Soundsystem; wrapped in the modernity of contemporaries like The Garden, and still, this attempt at describing their sound already shows its limits. With the new sounds came new songs and an urge to play around with a brand new set up. Two members have been added to the Deadpan stable who is now running a pack of five. The new people added is the lead singer Arsene Survie (Syringe) and guitarist and synth player Christian Skibdal (ex-The Wands)

Deadpan are ready to present themselves with their new EP "Fool Moon" to be released on December 7th. The record has been produced by Oliver Volz (Shiny Darkly) and is being released on the Paris/Copenhagen record label Third Coming Records.

[PREMIERE] THE LOVE COFFIN / Cloudlands LP

After two promising 12” EPs, 'Veranda' (2015) and 'Buffalo Thunder' (2016), the Copenhagen-based rock quintet The Love Coffin is finally ready to unleash their debut album. The nine-song long-player is entitled 'Cloudlands' and will be released September 28th in a Danish/French joint venture between Bad Afro Records and Third Coming Records.

The Love Coffin’s songs are all about contrasts – be it in the music, which shifts effortlessly from finely spun melodic melancholy to searingly dissonant bursts of noise – their lyrical themes, which can best be described as pendulous journeys between ominous, tar-black depths of despair and bright shafts of cheek-blushing optimism – or in the schism between frontman Jonatan K. Magnussen’s wildly intimate, volcanic vocals and the cinematic expansiveness of the sonic imagery his bandmates conjure around him.

Sure, you might be able to glean bits and pieces of the patchwork of influences that has led to The Love Coffin’s sound – particularly the unforgiving, magmatic squall of the New York noise rock scene of the 80’s, the sepia-dusted, grimy wide-screen perspective from the post-punk that came out of Australia in the same era and last, but not least, a knack for burying lush pop hooks under a rough-hewn bedrock of ugly guitars, Trojan horse-style, not unlike the pioneers of British shoegaze did it.

This band, though, is first and foremost a beast of its own making. Beneath the bruises you will find both tenderness, raw-hearted honesty and a dizzying talent. These five guys are here, they’re now, and they’re going straight for the jugular. Embrace the darkness or fend it off; you probably won’t escape unscathed, but you will live to tell the tale of The Love Coffin.

‘Cloudlands’ is recorded at the Grapehouse studio in Copenhagen and mixed by Kristian Alexander Pedersen in Berlin. The album is mastered by Emil Thomsen and comes in a neat gatefold sleeve with daring photos by Jennette Laven.

[PREMIERE] OFFERMOSE // "Mørkt Forår" (featuring Of The Wand & The Moon, Grift.)

Mørkt Forår is the first full length album from Offermose coming out October 12th. A somber journey through a world of endless sorrow. The title track features the vocals of Kim Larsen (Of the Wand & the Moon) and Grift on psalmodikon. The track Stjernernes Taage is performed alongside Angst (Den Sorte Død). The cover depicts the passing and final breath of the mysterious E.N. Cold wind flows from parted lips as the spirit leaves the body. The true awakening of life.

The title track Mørkt Forår is a dark venture into an unknown sojourn where we meet somewhere between our first and last breath. Offermose perfectly crafts an audible experience that is both immersive and evocative. Through a mixture of ambient sounds, strings and nostalgic synth, Mørkt Forår superbly fuses eclectic soundscapes that unravel into ascension and dissolution.

If the debut track is anything to go by the full length album out  this October will be a masterful journey into the somber and articulate underwood of Offermose.

RENEERUIN.COM [ EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE ] Paper Tiger (Vowws Versus Winkie)

L.A.-based Vowws (Cleopatra Records) have brought their characteristic rhythms and dark-pop sensibilities to WINKIE's odd track ‘Paper Tiger’ off of their 2016 LP ‘Come To My Party’ (American Primitive). The resulting remix is a dystopian death disco, a twisted spin on an already subversive track. This is a the second remix off the bands current album. They unleashed Xiu Xiu’s glitched-out remix of ‘At Night They Dreamed of Revenge’ in April. 

Vowws are performing with Ritual Howls at ‘A Murder of Crows’ Alternative and Gothic Festival in New York’s Mercury Lounge on August 12th.
