I’m a high school drop
out! I left when I was only 15! and I never went to college! I would love to
study something though but I’m not sure what I would do yet!
What was growing up like for you?
I was always the loser when I was growing up haha! I was the popular
girls loser friend when I was really young and then in high school I literally
had like 3 friends and even the people that I considered a geek were even
embarrassed to talk to us! I was happy though away from school, there was a
little group of skaters and band guys out with school that we were accepted by
haha!
Do you see yourself as Model?
I
mean not really I am absolutely not vain at all, I take pride in my appearance
yes and make an effort most of the time but no I don’t think I’m drop dead
gorgeous or anything, I am aware of my flaws yes but I just think that I can
take all different makeup and hairstyles well and I know how move my body!
When did you become involved in modeling
and what do you love about it?
I just sort of fell into it I was scouted
way back when I was 15 and I did it on and off until I was 21 when I actually
moved to London and took myself I bit more seriously! I love the travelling of
course and meeting loads of awesome people I would never have gotten the chance
to if I hadn’t been doing this! I like how I work with different people
everyday and I’m in new places all the time it mixes it up and keeps it
interesting!
What do you admire in other women?
Definitely get along with guys so much more so this question is a toughy!
Like I admire dark, sexy women haha I love women like Kate Moss and Megan Fox
they have this very sexual energy like they can lure anyone in! but I guess
most girls these days are always hating on each other and it sucks and they
fuck each other over all the time and fuck their boyfriends and whatever and we
need to all unite and look out for one another not rip each other apart! where
has all the love gone!
Who is Amanda Hendrick?
I’m not a bitch
what some people seem to think! Just because I’m a model or whatever does not
mean if I was chocolate I would eat myself! I’m extremely sensitive and loving
and a little bit crazy and I just want to be happy and have fun 24/7!
What do you love/hate about your own
body?
I love myself and everything about myself and I love all my flaws
and I’ve finally accepted myself inside and out completely. and this isn’t me
being big headed or anything it’s just that I’m stuck with myself for the rest
of my life so I may as well make the most of who I am! and you should too!
In 2011 some photos of you in a bikini
were yanked from advertising because they deemed you too thin. What was
that like for you and how did you feel about being put in that position?
I felt very vulnerable and fragile and I felt like the whole world was picking
on me it was so crazy. I’m lucky I had amazing people around me that were
trying to protect me from it all. I’m in a very good place now though and I
know I’m strong enough to talk about it!
Has that incident had a positive effect
on your body image and health today?
You would have thought that
it would have and it did for a while but I struggled with myself right up until
about 9 months ago now, its taken me a while to finally get to where I am right
now but its good and I never want to go back there again!
Where do you draw inspiration from?
Oh god everywhere! Cities, music, countries, books, people!
How would you describe your style?
I’m not sure I have so many different styles I guess but most I
dress a bit boho, a bit hippy and undone I like people that look effortless but
fucking cool at the same time!
Are you a fashion brands girl or do you
just wear what you like or what's comfortable?
I'm not really a designer
brand girl I like more independent companies like minkpink, one teaspoon,
wildfox etc.
Who would you say is your style icon?
I
really don’t have a style icon at all I don’t like copycats and I would never
want to be a shit version of someone else! Obviously ill see someone wearing a
cool sweater or something and ill buy it but I never want to completely copy
someone else, I like being original!
Top 5 clothing items you cannot live
without?
Hmm my parka, all saints military boots, Prada bag, sunglasses
and beanie hats!
What do you look for in the opposite
sex?
Someone who isn’t a douche and loves himself and who isn’t
too into his looks and I like someone who makes me laugh and I can vibe off of
and someone who dresses nice and has nice eyes!
What is it that you love most about
being a woman?
Women always get to wear the best clothes it must suck
being a guy they have to wear rubbish clothes haha! I like how women can dress
up all sexy and stuff. Boys cant do that haah!

without?

When no one is around what
is Amanda usually doing?
Sitting in my underwear listening to
the spice girls and doing interviews like this one!
Is there a public and private Amanda?
Nah not really what you see is what you get with me! Obviously the
more I get to know someone the more relaxed ill be with them, sometimes I’m a
bit shy around new people and it must come across a bit stand offish or rude
maybe but I swear I’m nice once we get talking haha!
Are we likely to see a lot more of you
as a model?
Yeah for sure I have a few cool things about to come out in
a few months, the thing with modeling is we shoot at least 6 months in advance
so you have to wait so long to see the results! I've started blogging a lot
more now though and people have been sending me so many lovely things from
their clothing brands and stuff so I’m going to start organizing some shoots
here and their with my friends who are photographers so give back to people
that have so generous to me!
What's your take on life and what advice
would give any of your fans?
Just fuck everything and go do whatever you
want. Don't let anyone tell you what to do always follow your heart and your
gut instinct. Don’t let society brainwash you, be free! Go and travel as much
as you can go experience everything you get the chance to just do it! Live,
love, laugh and be happy, always! I love all of my 'fans' whatever they admire
me for I’m so grateful that they do, so thank you for being interested in my
silly little life!
