When she's not working or modelling or playing around with suspensions Danae spends her time sewing, thrift store shopping, reconstructing clothing, cooking and vegan baking. Danae aspires to travel the world collecting tattoos, make a good name for myself in both modeling and body piercing and to do everything in life that makes her happy.

"In life, my inspiration has always been my mother. She is exactly who I think a woman should be; Confident, positive, beautiful inside and out, caring, generous, and she has a backbone at the same time. My mother has always been my inspiration in modeling, as well. She was going to be a swimsuit model for Venus when I was very little, but my Dad wouldn't allow it. She has always supported me in modeling, and she even took me to my first open call!"

Danae didn't take the same route as many of her peers and decided not to go to college but follow a career in Body Piercing. That being said, Danae was an honors student in High School, and in fact graduated early. Beauty and Brains, just the kinda girl we like to see around these parts!

Danae grew up all over California. Her parents divorced when while she was young and Danae spent the rest of her childhood with her mother. Her nomadic upbringing is something that still very much influences her lifestyle today.  During herteen years, Danae got into punk and hardcore music and embraced her inner wild child for a couple of years. Nowdays, Danae spends more at home reading books and drinking tea.

When did you become involved in modeling and what do you love about it & do you see yourself as a model?

"The first photo shoot I did was when I was in sixth grade. It was for a photographer friend of my mother's. I thought it was fun to make faces at the camera and see myself through how someone else's point of view.
I do and I don't see myself as a model. I don't take it too seriously. I just do it because it's fun, and if I get some awesome memories and a little bit of compensation too, that's fine with me!"

"Now, I love modeling because it makes me feel good. It helps me be comfortable in my own skin. I get to push the boundaries of my comfort zone, and I feel like I improve with each shoot. I also see modeling as a form of acting, and that's fun to me as well. I dabble in that realm when I can. As a matter of fact, I'm very excited to announce my appearance in the 2011 film, Puncture, alongside Chris Evans. It hits the TriBeCa film festival at the end of the month. It's just a small role, but it is my first movie."

In the future, Danae would like to get more publications, act in more movies, and model more regularly.

"I want to continue to strive to be the best body piercer i can possibly be. I also wouldn't mind going to cosmetology school, just so I can have another trade under my belt that I love. I want to live happily ever after, like in the movies."

What do you admire in other women?

"I admire women who know their worth, and live their lives accordingly. I like women who have ambition to do what they love, and stop at nothing to get what matters to them."

Are you a fashion brands girl or do you wear what's comfortable?

"I'm a little of both. I mostly just wear band shirts that I've reconstructed into tank tops, jeans or a miniskirt, and a pair of vans or boots. I admire quite a few fashion designers, and I'll buy name brand things for nice occasions, but it's not a daily part of my life. I spend the most money on jewelry, purses, shoes, and underwear."

Who would you say your style icon is?

"Honestly, I don't really have one. I've always just kind of done my own thing. When I was a kid, I used to look up to Gwen Stefani and Brody Dalle quite a bit, but I think that's as close as it gets."

What women do you admire most?

"Sylvia Plath, Shannyn Sossamon, and my Mom."

Your take on life and advice to any fans?

"Can't stop, won't stop. Don't ever let someone tell you that you CAN'T do something."

She's a little punk, a little rock but certainly a whole lot of hot. Oh, and did I mention Danae is recently single? Form a steady queue to left gentlemen!
