[LISTEN] Deafheaven // "Black Brick"

GRAMMY-nominated metal band Deafheaven have released a new song titled “Black Brick.” The track is a B-side from their latest album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. While Ordinary Corrupt Human Love was lauded for its avant-garde approach, “Black Brick” sees Deafheaven performing at their heaviest yet.

[LISTEN] Hether Fortune // Sister

I was 15 I could've been a mother
Drivin' real fast down a dusty road in a stolen car
Gimme the hand of my baby brother
Drive him real fast down a dusty road, ya we're goin far
Away from the fields and the mud soaked pickups
Away from the land of the lost
Away from the gaze of a thousand giddy-up cowboy appointed cops
Away, away, away
Away, away, away
I was 18 I could've been a mother
Scarrin' my chest with a color gun in a leather chair
Gimme the hand of my baby brother
Take him to the city gonna have some fun, ya we're drivin there
Away from the fields and the mud soaked pickups
Away from the land of the lost
Away from the white flight/white fright giddy-up cowboys and their cops
Away, away, away
Away, away, away
I'm your sister
And I'll raise hell if it'll get you through
I'm your sister
And I'll kill any mother fucker if you need me to
I'm your sister
And I'll raise hell if it'll get you through
I'm your sister
I'm your sister
