Bitch Diesel // Red Love Witch

''Just a couple of broads chasing down fame and fortune in a liquor infused haze."

Bitch Diesel are a butt load of rockin' fun with sweet riffs and a good sense of humour. Behind the simple punk rock the gals serve up some serious live stage presence and a trio of feverish charisma.

The three-piece punk outfit have been bringing their raw rock n’ roll to Melbourne since the bitter end of 2016, with a residency at the Tote front bar, appearances at Gizzfest 2016/17, Dark Mofo and Boogie Festival 2017, plus support slots with The Cosmic Psychos, The Courtneys and Spiderbait under their sequined belts.

[LISTEN] Lái

Lái has produced 5 tracks of of blistering Swedish influenced d-beat punk propelling raging vocals right into the face of the listener. Vocalist Aldas lyrics engage with voices that explore politics, religion, feminism and queer rights in South East Asia and the diaspora. Sung in both Bahasa Indonesian and English and the band name taken from the Chinese Mandarin phrase meaning 'to come/next,' Lái invoke identities and themes that often inter-connect but also conflict in the world around us.

Lái is:

Vocals - Alda
Guitar - Timmy
Bass - Tessa
Drums - Nissa

GIRL, DO YOU EVEN BRUNCH?

OKAY. I had no idea how truly spoilt I was when it came to brunch in Melbourne, Australia until I moved to the UK and then it was glaringly apparent that Melbourne is in a league of its own when it comes to the art of brunch. This post is in ode to every English friend I've spent way too long talking to about how good brunch is back home. So.. just a few examples.
