Featured Tattoo Artist | Little Linda

Name: Little Linda
Age: 25

Location: Dallas TX / Hollywood CA

What attracted you to tattooing?

Honestly, that fact that i could make a living off art attracted me right off the bat, being a really artist child my parents always told me I could never make money off being an artist. I guess I showed them..

How did you get into the industry?

Well 9 years ago it was not so much about who you knew, or maybe it was. I guess I just got really lucky and around the age of 16 and got offered an apprenticeship by someone who saw potential in me, and that makes me a lucky girl.

Was it hard to find an apprenticeship?

I wasn't looking.

How many years have you been tattooing?

8 years after my 2 year apprenticeship.

What inspires you?

My father, my lover and champ, chief, Cherokee, Gary, Nibiru and all of my friends and my peers inspire me everyday.

Who are your favorite tattoo artists?

Favorite tattoo artists off the top of my head would have to be Dan Higgs, Bert Grimm, Chris Erickson, Thomas Hooper, Oliver Pecker.

How would you describe your tattoo style?

I could say traditional but that's what everyone says right? I could also describe my tattooing as solid color and bold lines but that would still describe everyone else. I could make up some fancy words for what I do, but the truth is style comes with age and far more experience than I have, ask me that question again in 15 years.

What have you learned in your years in the industry?

I've learned that you never stop learning.

What advice do you have to people considering careers in tattooing?

Go back to school.

What are some of the best things you have experienced as a result of your career?

Free food! and boobs.

Where do you currently tattoo?
