NUIT | 'MIDNIGHT PATH" Fall 2019 Collection
FW19: Midnight Path
The FW19 Collection is inspired by the pale light sometimes seen around marshy waters at night, in Autumn. Ignis Fatuus or Wil 'o' the Wisps are believed to be vengeful spirits or souls trapped in purgatory who lead travelers astray. In this collection we explore the concepts of illusion and myth, and the uniquely human predilection of attributing supernatural meaning to natural phenomena.
Ghostly voile and transparent vinyl trick the eye with illusory silhouettes. Draping volumes are transformed with hidden clips and ties. Wispy Lilacs and Marshy tones reminisce of autumn landscapes.
