The latest collaboration between the experimental lute player and acclaimed director is another thematically heavy work of powerful minimalism. Van Wissem’s lute traces the outlines of subdued electronics and ominous guitar drones laid down by Jarmusch. It’s an album that sees two formidable collaborators complement each other brilliantly.
