Visionary rock ’n’ roll provocateur IAN SVENONIUS aka ESCAPE-ISM presents “Nothing Personal”, a super-8 film directed by ALEXANDRA CABRAL, featuring ZUMI of The Black Lips and the artist ARIANA PAPADEMETROPOULOS.
According to ESCAPE-ISM, “Nothing Personal” explores the moral system underpinning capitalism, and visually contextualizes it as another aberrant and sinister cult ideology. The single is part of ESCAPE-ISM’s second album ‘The Lost Record’ to be released on Merge on September 7. Recorded in four different studios, the record is the culmination of humanity’s attempt at something poignant, perverse, and poetically imperfect.
