What attracted you to tattooing?
The cult part of it, mystery etc.
How did you get into the industry?
It happened by chance. I wasn't looking to get into it, it kinda fell on me.
Was it hard to find an apprenticeship?
I kinda fell on me and it was offered to me and I accepted. I tell you those 2 years where rough but worth it .
How many years have you been tattooing?
22 years and going strong
Who are your favourite tattoo artists?
So many and from all styles as well. I love all styles of tattooing except tribal.
How would you describe your tattoo style?
I do a little of everything but stick to the traditional side of things. To me they are the real tattoos. Strong lines, dark shading, strong colors, coleman style .
What have you learned in your years in the industry?
Lots of things. Good and bad.
What advice do you have to people considering careers in tattooing?
Be committed or dont get into it. Too many people are in the industry already so why do it if your really not dedicated to it.
What are some of the best things you have experienced as a result of your career?
I've met so many nice people and good friends throughout the years and so many great clients who have pushed me to the limits and made me want work harder at what i do.
Where do you currently tattoo?
I'm currently at heidi hay tattoo in GBG, Sweden but I will be going back to new york city in September 2012.
