Who's that Girl? - Rebecca Bone

British alt model Rebecca Bone may have a slight resemblance to IT girl Daisy Lowe but rest assured she is no product of a secret love affair and has much more going on than her modelling career. This indie girl next door hails from New Hampshire, England. Her ethereal  Whilst most recognise her from her scantily clad photo shoots of her provocative self portraits by day Rebecca spends her time working as a Pet Nutritionist. Her academic studies include - Marine Biology, Ecology, Shark Biology, Zoology, Environmental Studies, Meteorology/Oceanography, amongst others.

What I like most about Rebecca is her simple & delicate presence on film. The subtly of her features and her almost innocent sultry gaze set her apart from many if the women currently in the alt modelling industry.

When Rebecca isn't modelling or taking care of her animal friends she spends her time doing Yoga, Designing & Making clothes, Shopping,  and getting involved in Volunteer work. When I asked Rebecca what some her aspirations are her response was  "Is it too much to say that I would like to save the world?".  A simple testament to her caring and nurturing nature to the world she lives in and those around her.

What was growing up like for you?

It was lonely and sometimes quite dark at times. I've always been a very misunderstood girl in all walks of life, but that's who I am. I still have so much more to learn and I'm growing all the time.

Do you see yourself as Model?

On a shoot, yeah, I have a persona. When I'm not shooting….not at all, I'm a complete dork.

When did you become involved in modelling and what do you love about it?

I did my first shoot for a clothing company called 'Built for sin' for a friend, then I just carried on, which led to more people wanting to use me for various shoots etc. I love meeting new people and being involved creatively with other people's minds. What I do when not in front of the camera is scientific, modelling and the work I do around it allows me to use my creative side too.

What would you like to do in the future?

Somewhere down the line I'd like to pursue my Shark/Marine and animal work. Right now I just want to travel and meet personalities whilst trying to make a difference along the way to people, the environment and animal shelters etc. This world has a lot to teach me.

What do you admire in other women?

Kindness. I adore kindness in people, there is nothing worse than admiring someone then upon meeting them finding out they are cruel. I love women with big hearts who don't live up to an expectation of looks or how they should be. I admire a woman who has a beautiful soul and cares for her surroundings. There is a woman that I met a few years ago and I will always look unto her, she's so kind and giving, her soul is beautiful - the best part is she doesn't even know these things, but she's like a magnet of loveliness!

Who is Rebecca Bone?

I don't know who I am. To know one's self is one of the biggest mysteries in life. If you find out, please tell me.

Who would you say is your style icon?

The usual suspects. Alexa Chung, Coco Chanel, Keira Knightly, Daisy Lowe, Vivienne Westwood, Francoise Hardy, Gwen Stefani.

What is your favourite physical attribute on yourself?

I'm so picky about myself but I do like my eyes and my boobs. Eyes and boobs.

What do you find most attractive about the opposite sex?

Again, kindness and I'm strongly attracted to a big heart. I like men that aren't lazy and know what they want and work hard for it, although they can't take themselves too seriously. Whoever said nice guys finish last was wrong.

 Tales of Love & Lust?

I probably have more than my fair share of stories to put here but I'm still owed that great 'one'.

What's your take on life and what advice would give any of your fans?

Sometimes life takes my mind to dark places, when I think about humanity I am  pulled down. I wouldn't wish that on another, what I'd like people to remember is that the smallest thing you do can have a ripple effect on many others including yourself. You should love completely and treat others how you would like to be treated. Take an interest in the natural state of the world even for a minute and leave the fake shit to the fakers - I'm such a fucking hippie.
