[EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE] Jozef Van Wissem | The Conversation (previously unreleased)

Jozef Van Wissem, a unique and extraordinary music man of mystery has exclusively given us a special previously unreleased video and song to share with you.

Jozef Van Wissem - The Conversation

"I was ready to make a video for my new release “Ex Mortis” this March but as we are all in lockdown at the moment it got postponed. We shot this video in Trieste, Italy in 2017. I was on tour there. It was a rather quick affair. At the time I had no idea what would happen 3 years later. I usually don’t analyse my lyrics. They just come to me. It seems like a good time to show this to the world as it is now."

[From the end of the world I call you. All I ever wanted was a place to call my own.....]

[LISTEN] An Attempt to Draw Aside the Veil // Jozef Van Wissem and Jim Jarmusch

The latest collaboration between the experimental lute player and acclaimed director is another thematically heavy work of powerful minimalism. Van Wissem’s lute traces the outlines of subdued electronics and ominous guitar drones laid down by Jarmusch. It’s an album that sees two formidable collaborators complement each other brilliantly. Listen to the first single, “Concerning the White Horse,” and preorder the album. It’s out February 8.
