METAL MOTHER // 'PRIS'

"Pris" is the first single from the forthcoming “Pagan Jazz,” the new 5 song EP by Los Angeles-based Metal Mother due out June 1st.

“Pagan Jazz is inspired by and written for the warehouse party world and all the absurd and whimsical fairies it attracts.” Timberman says. “It’s a melancholic dance record”. It’s also some kind of acid drenched surrealist synth creation that beckons, but the kind of beckoning that only comes from the pearly gates: you’ve been invited because you’re dead. It’s dark, electronic, and machine heavy, but at the same time familiar, vulnerable, and motherly."

Carve me from stone

Take me, take me home

I have the body, and you have the face

It doesn’t need to be so complicated

I’m tied up, can’t get down

You’re fired up and chasing your conscience around

Can’t give up, not now no we’ve

We’ve gotten this far

We’ve grown up like overnight

I seen how your presence can cut through the light

But I forgive, and I don’t fight, I

I still heal you

Stop trying to be sexy stop trying to be cool

Stop trying to be so goddam fabulous all the time

Pass me on the street

You find me something to eat

I am not salty and you’re not sweet

Perhaps it’s tasty enough

Bound to bind me

I’m tied up cant get down

You’re fired up and chasing your conscience around

Can’t give up not now no we’ve

We’ve gotten this far

We’ve grown up like overnight

I seen how your presence can cut through the light

But I forgive, and I don’t fight I

I still heal you

Stop trying to be sexy stop trying to be cool

Stop trying to be so goddam fabulous all the time

How did the blankets get so complicated

Memories, you’re talking about memories

I’m tied up can’t get down

You’re fired up and chasing your conscience around

Cant give up not now no we’ve

We’ve gotten this far

We’ve grown up like overnight

I seen how your presence can cut through the light

But I forgive, and I don’t fight I

I still heal you

I’m tied up cant get down

You’re fired up and chasing your conscience around

Can’t give up not now no we’ve

We’ve gotten this far

We’ve grown up like overnight

I seen how your presence can cut through the light

But I forgive, and I don’t fight I

I still heal you

WHITE WEDDING // Interview April 2018

Haunted Horses // Cold Medicine

Haunted Horses is an industrial-punk duo hailing from Seattle, WA. Their sound is thunderous and chaotic, utilizing wall of noise techniques through an onslaught of keys, guitars and drums. Myke Pelly's off kilter drumming and Colin Dawson's architectural noise structures create jittery post-punk that is both upbeat and gloomy. The bleak vocals are persistently ominous in a seductive way, conjuring up the nightmarish aura of a dissonant horror-film soundtrack. The band has not lost control of their uncompromising industrial vibes since their revival in 2017, continuing to embrace rock experimentation and electronic layers.

Keys/Guitar/Vox: Colin Dawson
Drums: Myke Pelly
